GroovyKids™ Yoga classes can be found in 11 countries across the globe

In this exciting and supremely practical 20 hour certified GroovyKids™ Yoga Teacher Training you’ll learn the GroovyKids™ Yoga Flow, and you’ll actually do it too.

It’s a 45-60 minute complete range of motion yoga class perfect for kids of all ages and abilities including music, movement, breath awareness and meditation.

We’ll watch a live GroovyKids™ Yoga class on film and present to you the GroovyKids™ Manifesto, or the 7 Keys to a successful GroovyKids™ Yoga class. We’ll break it down and see what works best.
We’ll add some fun games that get you to reveal your own patterns of thought. Be prepared to laugh! You’ll explore your own experiences and find your own strengths.

We then study the class sequence and learn why, when and how to modify the sequence for almost infinite classes. You’ll see why the GroovyKids™ vision works for all kids of all abilities and cultures, from the ages of 3-12 and sometimes even a little younger.

We put it all into practice with a free GroovyKids™ Yoga demonstration class and afterwards we’ll hold up our class against our 7 Keys, and see how we did. Then we’ll know why we teach GroovyKids™ Yoga instead of just Kids yoga.

We’ll expand the poses vocabulary and cover the guidelines for sequencing poses and how they can be used endlessly creatively. We look at Education standards for physical education as created by Education boards and see how yoga fits in.

Proven breathing techniques for kids will be practiced along with a more in-depth look at how yoga has interacted in our lives to help us understand simple ways that yoga philosophy is full of universal principles and how to more consciously apply them in teaching.

We look closer at how to modify classes as the age groups change, we practice partner yoga for extra fun with kids in class and play some more games designed to enlighten and inspire, including the “Yes, and” game, a brief exploration into positive thinking.

This course is ideal for anyone who loves kids, movement, yoga, learning new things or just life in general. We teach communication, philosophy and play.

Especially ideal for school teachers or educators who would like to incorporate yoga into their class time.

The course counts as 20 hours of Continuing Education Credits per Yoga Alliance standards.
All participants receive a 20 hour certificate of completion and The GroovyKids™ Yoga Teacher Training Manual
